As the dust settles from Miley's 2013 VMA performance, our hearts are heavy wondering what kind of world we are now living in. Parents are suddenly realizing that TV may not be the best babysitter, and by allowing your child to idolize someone to point of worship isn't healthy. Idols fall...which is why we need to remind ourselves that they are human. Such was the case around 1991, when Paul Reubans fell from grace when he was caught doing what men do in a porn theater. His private life was thrown into the world arena and we found out something frightening, Pee Wee Herman had needs. His redemption came on the evening of the 1991 MTV VMA's when he put himself out there again and let the crowd decide whether to stone him or forgive him for being a human that made a mistake; and we were ALL made the better for it. -Morgen
