Thirty-seven years ago today, Saturday Night Live debuted from Rockefeller Center.

Rolling Stone did a Q&A today with the creator, Lorne Michaels, to commemorate the show's anniverary.  Michaels goes into how they picked cast members like John BElushi, Dan Akroyd and Gilda Radner and what all had to come together to make SNL a perennial hit.
