What a great day! I didn't get much done in house (sorry, boss), but today I got to go with the PET Dairy folks and Ric Rush to Walmart on James Island to pick out $1,000 worth of toys to deliver to Toys for Tots! All Photos Courtesy of me.
Me, Moo Moo the PET Dairy Cow, Willie the WEZL and Ric Rush at JI Walmart.
It was a great opportunity to meet the hospitable folks of Walmart JI (thanks again, guys!) and to spend $1,000 on the less fortunate kids of the lowcountry.

Moo-Moo and Willie were VERY helpful.
I made it a point to get toys for the 7-year-old Ashleigh....stuff I loved as a kid; a Cabbage Patch Kids, lots of art supplies, puzzles and games. I also thought about what my husband would like as a 7-year-old Todd...so I loaded up on lots of Batman figurines, Avengers stuff, cars and trucks. Before I knew it, my cart was full.
We headed up to the registers where the Walmart folks helped Ric and Julie from PET ring up all of the cool stuff we picked out.

$1,000 later, we had TWO VANS FULL of toys to donate to the Toys for Tots! I've gotta say, it was one of the best hours of any holiday season that I've ever had.

Once we got them all loaded up, we took all of the toys to the Toys for Tots donation station at Citadel Mall in West Ashley. We met up with the volunteering Marines who were manning the collection center and thanked them for their service - both for the kids and for our freedoms. It's definitely a holiday experience I won't soon forget.
