I was born in Augusta, GA, but raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Apologies in advance for being a yankee! Everyone in the Carolinas has been very hospitable, as anticipated in the South.
I'll be posting here regularly with stuff that interests me: pop culture, technology, new music, funny observations and more. Bookmark this page and check back soon!

If you don't visit MentalFloss.com now and again, you're missing out. One of the latest articles? People who killed themselves with their own inventions. One guy make a winged suit and jumped off the Eiffel Tower himself, without testing it with dummies first, despite friends trying to dissaude him. Here's the very crude footage from 1912 where he jumped 187 to his death.
Oh no, but that's not it. One inventor, thomas Midgley Jr, who had over 100 patentis in his lifetime was diagnosed with polio later in life. He then proceeded to develop a system of ropes and what not to make it easier for his caretakers and himself to get him in and out of bed. He THEN proceeded to choke himself to death on the elaborate web of ropes.
Another guy tried to make a flying car, and another guy tried to jump Niagara Falls in a barrel...which he succeeded at, but wanted to recreate the feat at the Houston Astrodome to raise money for a Naigara Falls museum..and got dropped into a tank of water and died.
You HAVE to read the rest of these stories HERE. Sometimes it blows my mind how DUMB geniuses can be!
