Oh no, but that's not it. One inventor, thomas Midgley Jr, who had over 100 patentis in his lifetime was diagnosed with polio later in life. He then proceeded to develop a system of ropes and what not to make it easier for his caretakers and himself to get him in and out of bed. He THEN proceeded to choke himself to death on the elaborate web of ropes.
Another guy tried to make a flying car, and another guy tried to jump Niagara Falls in a barrel...which he succeeded at, but wanted to recreate the feat at the Houston Astrodome to raise money for a Naigara Falls museum..and got dropped into a tank of water and died.
