No, this blog post isn't a misprint from 25-30 years ago. This is a post about an interview that Dustin Hoffman did just last year about why he decided to make Tootsie...considered a great comedy in the history of American cinema.
He goes into detail about why he chose the role, how he prepared for it...and realized something about himself trying to portray a woman that sadly, so many women have to live with day in and day out, in real life. An incredible actor gave us one of the more vulnerable performances out there....and explains why Tootsie wasn't a comedy for him.
