A Guy Caught the Thief Who Stole His iPhone By Posing as a Woman on OK Cupid:
Back on New Year's Eve, Nadal Nirenberg of Brooklyn, New York left his phone in a cab. Someone else found it . . . and KEPT it.
But the next day, Nadal figured out that the thief was using the OK Cupid account and profile on HIS phone, to try to meet women. So Nadal came up with a plan . . .
He created a new OK Cupid account and posed as a WOMAN. Then he tracked down HIMSELF, and started flirting with the thief. He says, quote, "My best version of talking as a girl . . . is adding 'winky face' emoticons."
The thief took the bait, and asked Nadal to meet. Of course, if it had been a REAL woman, she would've been freaked out that the guy who met her didn't match the guy in the photos. But the thief apparently didn't think that far in advance.
Nadal had the guy come to his apartment. When the guy got there, Nadal confronted him, the man gave him back the iPhone, and left.

Two Robbers Try to Tunnel Into a Jewelry Store, End Up in a KFC . . . and Rob It Instead:
On New Year's Eve, two robbers in Beaudesert, Australia tried to end the year with a big splash . . . by robbing a jewelry store.
So 32-year-old Peter Welsh and 31-year-old Dwayne Doolan tried to tunnel into a local jewelry store by digging a hole in the back wall. Only they misjudged where to make the hole and ended up tunneling into . . . a KFC.
The KFC was open at the time and serving customers.
Fried chicken isn't QUITE as lucrative as diamonds and gold . . . but while they were there, Peter and Dwayne decided they might as well rob the KFC.
A cashier dumped the register for them, and they made off with about $2,700 . . . so that KFC must've been doing some spectacular business. The police tracked them down a few days later and arrested them.
A Woman Won a Jackpot at an Arizona Casino, Had to Show ID to Claim It . . . and Was Deported For Being Here Illegally:
Last month, Mirna Valenzuela was playing a slot machine at the Casino del Sol Resort in Tucson, Arizona. And she won a $1,200 jackpot, which should've been great . . . only it quickly RUINED HER LIFE.
For a jackpot that big, winners have to show ID to collect their winnings. And when Mirna showed hers, the casino officials suspected it was a fake.
The casino is run by the Pasqua Yaqui Indian tribe on their reservation, so the tribal police came and investigated. They determined her ID was potentially fake . . . and then figured out she was in the country ILLEGALLY.
They called Border Patrol . . . and Mirna was deported back to Mexico.
The casino says that if she DOES come back to the country, she can claim her winnings with a valid ID.
