A Man Steals a Truck to Race to Church and Stop His Ex From Marrying Another Guy:
Last week, 30-year-old Andrew Curtis of West Valley City, Utah wanted to stop his ex-girlfriend from marrying another man. But he didn't have a car to race to the church. So he improvised.
He STOLE A TRUCK, and sped to the church. But he was going so fast that he lost control in the church parking lot, and did about $1,000 in damage to property and other cars. We're also assuming he didn't stop the wedding.
He was arrested for auto theft. As the cops were arresting him, he confessed that he'd used METH the day before and hadn't slept or eaten in a day.
A Guy Calls 911 to Report a Woman Stood Him Up on a Date:
Last week, a man from Montreal, Quebec was talking online to a woman in Barrie, Ontario. They agreed to go on a date in Barrie, so the man took a six-hour bus ride from Montreal to Barrie.
The woman agreed to meet him at the bus station, but when he got there, she didn't show. Which, ya know, is why you probably shouldn't try to hold dates at bus stations. Not exactly a turn-on.
So the man CALLED 911 and told the cops he'd been STOOD UP . . . and wanted them to, quote, "track down" the woman and get an explanation. They told him that's not what 911 is for . . . which just made him angrier.
In polite Canadian fashion, they decided NOT to arrest him. Instead, they told him to find a place to stay in Barrie until he calmed down.
